About the role
As a Conference & Event Specialist within Bernstein SG’s Investor Access & Research Marketing team, you will own workstreams supporting the planning and delivery of conferences, thematic events and client‑engagement programmes across London, Paris and Casablanca.
Key responsibilities
- Own assigned conference and event workstreams from planning through delivery and post‑event review.
- Maintain accurate project plans, timelines, budgets and records, providing updates and escalating risks.
- Coordinate venues, accommodation, transport, catering, audio‑visual, security and other operational requirements.
- Manage supplier requirements and monitor delivery against specifications, timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate attendee registration, communications, scheduling, event materials and system records.
- Work across Investor Access, Research, Sales, Operations and external partners to ensure effective handovers.
- Provide on‑site and virtual support, resolving routine issues and escalating material matters.
- Complete post‑event reporting, reconciliation and support process‑automation improvements.
- Comply with risk, regulatory and internal policy obligations, including the Société Générale Group Code of Conduct.
Required profile
- Experience supporting conferences, large‑scale events, hospitality programmes or other client‑facing activities.
- Strong organisational and project‑coordination skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail for budgets, timelines and documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across internal and external partners.
- Ability to work under functional direction while taking ownership of workstreams.
- Sound operational judgement, efficient delivery and appropriate risk escalation.
- Strong administrative and financial‑management capability, including supplier coordination and invoice processing.
- Digital fluency and proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Ability to identify manual, repetitive tasks and implement improvements using Microsoft 365, Copilot, Excel, Power Automate or other approved tools.
- Understanding of information security, confidentiality and data handling; experience with BTS, CRM or event‑management platforms is advantageous.
