Customer Quality Engineer – Automotive Solutions

About the role

The Customer Quality Engineer is the primary liaison between OPmobility and its automotive customers. You will ensure that all products meet customer specifications and quality standards throughout the development and production lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers and auditors, communicating professional and methodological aspects.
• Translate customer requirements into internal processes and collaborate daily with resident engineers.
• Resolve complaints, manage the 8D problem‑solving process, and monitor action‑plan performance.
• Utilise quality tools and VPRS, and cooperate with exchange auditors on visual sample approval.
• Monitor development and quality results, stopping production when non‑compliance threatens customer satisfaction.
• Participate in change management, functional verification of parts, and launch activities for new projects.
• Plan and conduct product audits, enforce corrective actions, and drive continual improvement.
• Support PPAP processing, train shift auditors, and ensure quality of launched products in production.

Required profile

• Strong experience in automotive quality engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills for daily interaction with customers, auditors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, make production stop decisions, and lead corrective actions.
• Proactive mindset for continuous improvement and change management.
