Customer Service & Order Management Specialist

About the role

The Customer Service & Order Management Specialist ensures that customer demand is accurately captured, integrated, and fulfilled across the supply chain. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, translating their schedules into actionable plans and guaranteeing on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive customer schedules via EDI, webEDI or paper and load them into the planning system.
• Identify and resolve integration errors and highlight large order variations.
• Release picking lists, monitor procurement, production and shipping, and chase any delays.
• Maintain safety stock levels and trigger alerts when thresholds are reached.
• Coordinate with external logistics platforms and ensure correct parameters (MOQ, lead‑time, transport schedule) are applied.
• Prepare customs documentation for exports when required.
• Communicate precise information to customers, adapting frequency and method to the situation.
• Negotiate delivery dates, verify internal feasibility, and ensure production sequencing aligns with real demand.
• Measure daily service rates, propose improvement actions, and manage crisis escalation.
