Customs Billing Supervisor

About the role

The Customs Billing Supervisor leads the end‑to‑end billing process for transport and customs operations, ensuring accurate invoicing and compliance with regulations. You will coordinate closely with operations, customs, and accounting teams while managing a dedicated billing team.

Key responsibilities

• Organise workloads, prioritize files and monitor distribution across the billing team.
• Provide technical guidance, training and best‑practice support to develop team members.
• Prepare, review and validate customer invoices for transport, customs and ancillary charges.
• Verify billing elements for rate accuracy, service compliance and alignment with commercial agreements.
• Track key performance indicators such as billing timelines, volume processed and discrepancy rates, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Resolve complex billing disputes, recurring discrepancies and handle sensitive customer requests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardise billing procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac +2 (2‑year degree) in Finance, Management, Transport/Logistics or a customs declarant diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar billing role within transport, logistics or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international transport and customs regulations.
• Fluent French; professional level English preferred.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume file loads and work effectively in a team.
• Demonstrated experience in team coordination or management.

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
