Cutting Leader

About the role

The Cutting Leader is responsible for organizing, supervising, and optimizing all cutting room activities to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines in a lingerie manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and supervise daily cutting operations according to the production plan.
• Allocate work to cutting operators, monitor productivity, and ensure targets and schedules are met.
• Coordinate fabric spreading, cutting, bundling, and identification activities.
• Verify cutting quality against technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Monitor shade control, fabric defects, and cutting accuracy, working with the Quality Department to resolve issues.
• Track cutting room KPIs (efficiency, productivity, waste rate, fabric utilization) and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain cutting equipment, report technical issues, and apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Collaborate with Planning, Industrial Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, and Production teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (preferably from ESITH) or Bac+5 in Textile, Industrial, Production, or Supply Chain Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in lingerie, intimate apparel, or seamless garment production.
• Previous exposure to cutting room operations.
• Professional proficiency in French; technical English is an asset; fluent Arabic.

Required skills

• Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of cutting room organization and fabric optimization.
• Familiarity with markers, fabric spreading, cutting, and bundling.
• Experience with automatic cutting systems (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Bullmer, Morgan Tecnica).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
