Data Engineering Manager

About the role

Artefact is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead innovative data projects for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work within feature teams, collaborating with consultants, data scientists, creatives and engineers to turn complex data challenges into business‑impacting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify client needs and design innovative data‑driven solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, from conception through implementation, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Coach team members, share knowledge, and conduct training sessions with partners such as Google and Amazon.
• Represent Artefact at events and conferences, presenting project outcomes and best practices.
• Participate in projects ranging from cloud migrations to predictive modeling for environmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience across the full data value chain, including infrastructure setup, platform creation, data collection, ML model deployment, REST API development, test‑driven development and CI/CD.
• Educational background in software engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Curious, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge.
