Designer

About the role

TE is looking for a Designer to join a diverse team focused on creating safer, sustainable, and more connected solutions. You will work on the design, fabrication, and optimisation of tools and production equipment, ensuring high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Identify tool specifications and recommend design, material, and process revisions.
• Adjust control speed, select materials, and develop new features to meet machine quality standards.
• Fabricate parts or complete tools using CNC mills and lathes from prints, blueprints, and product drawings, and fine‑tune tooling to close tolerances.
• Monitor quality checks, document results, and collaborate with the maintenance team to repair and improve machines and tools.
• Troubleshoot mold issues during production and support equipment to minimise production loss.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of relevant experience.
• High school completion; vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.
