Direct Response VSL Video Editor

About the role

We are seeking a Direct Response VSL Video Editor to turn raw footage, scripts, and product assets into high‑converting sales videos. The role focuses on performance‑driven editing rather than cinematic flair, aiming to keep viewers engaged and drive immediate actions.

Key responsibilities

• Edit Video Sales Letters (VSLs) and direct‑response ads that generate sales for physical/e‑commerce products.
• Create pacing, visual flow, and retention‑focused edits that align with conversion psychology.
• Integrate B‑roll, captions, motion graphics, sound design, and proof elements such as product demos and customer testimonials.
• Interpret scripts through a direct‑response lens and optimize videos based on performance data.
• Source and embed supporting visuals that strengthen credibility and persuasion.
• Collaborate with marketers, copywriters, and creative strategists to continuously improve video performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience editing direct‑response VSLs for physical or e‑commerce products.
• Understanding of sales psychology, viewer behavior, and conversion‑focused pacing.
• Portfolio that includes at least one successful VSL for a physical/e‑commerce product.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality edits quickly and iterate based on feedback.
