Director of Markets

About the role

The Authority of the Moroccan Capital Market (AMMC) seeks a senior leader to head its Markets Division in Rabat. Reporting to the Head of Business Units, the Director of Markets will oversee market authorisations, risk management and strategic development of market infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the processing of licences, authorisations and registrations for market participants.
• Ensure internal control mechanisms of intermediaries and market companies comply with regulations.
• Drive risk‑management initiatives to secure market operations.
• Continuously optimise procedures for authorisation and on‑file inspections while respecting AMMC’s ethical framework.
• Maintain an active watch on national and international financial market practices.
• Define and implement the roadmap for market infrastructure projects.
• Supervise, organise and mentor the Markets Division team.

Required profile

• Moroccan nationality.
• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Management or a related field.
• At least 12 years of experience in capital markets, including a minimum of 8 years in a senior managerial role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools.
• Experience using database management and office‑suite applications.
• Strong command of English language.
