About the role

The Director of Rooms leads the property’s Rooms department, shaping strategy, quality standards and financial performance. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, this role ensures that rooms operations align with brand expectations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute departmental strategies that support the brand’s service vision and financial targets.
• Lead the Rooms team, communicating clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Monitor room rates, specials and promotions, and adjust pricing to optimize occupancy and revenue.
• Analyze service issues, audit expenses and implement profitability initiatives.
• Review financial statements and budget performance, coaching managers to control wages and controllable costs.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by reviewing feedback, taking corrective actions and promoting service excellence.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience.
• Proven leadership experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales, marketing or hotel operations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication and team‑building abilities.
