Director, Specialist Sales – Consumer Solutions, North West Francophone Africa

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior leader to drive the strategy, product development, and implementation of prepaid, debit and credit card programs across its North West Francophone Africa market. The Director will shape winning tactics that meet the unique needs of consumer‑focused issuers and public‑sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of strategy, tactics and execution plans for prepaid, debit and credit card solutions targeting public‑sector segments.
• Leverage the full suite of Mastercard capabilities—including Loyalty, Advisors and Emerging Payments—to generate innovation and shareholder value.
• Provide consultative product expertise, education and implementation guidance to internal sales/account teams and external issuers, governments and industry bodies.
• Collaborate with business and external stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate product decisions and manage releases.
• Assess and prioritize business cases for new product developments, ensuring alignment with market opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in prepaid, debit and credit card payment product management.
• Strong understanding of consumer business processes and ability to translate market needs into product requirements.
• Deep knowledge of consumer/retail payments products and platforms, with prior experience in retail or consumer banking cards, especially in North Africa.
