Driveability Calibration Engineer

About the role
The Driveability Calibration Engineer will develop and fine‑tune engine, transmission and vehicle control systems to deliver smooth, responsive driving experiences. You will work on real‑world vehicle testing and data analysis to eliminate issues such as hesitation, jerking or poor throttle response.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and calibrate powertrain control algorithms for start‑up, idle, acceleration, deceleration and gear‑shift scenarios.
- Conduct road, track and dynamometer tests to evaluate driveability performance.
- Analyse test data, identify root causes of driveability problems and implement corrective calibrations.
- Collaborate with powertrain, software and calibration teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Validate customer‑oriented features such as comfort, smoothness and responsiveness.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems and control strategies.
- Experience with calibration tools and data analysis.
- Good problem‑solving abilities and driving‑evaluation skills.
- Driver’s licence B (AW18 preferred).
Required skills
- INCA calibration software.
- CANape calibration software.
- Data analysis for vehicle testing.
