Drone System Validation Technician and Pilot

About the role

Harmattan AI develops autonomous defense systems. As a Drone System Validation Technician and Pilot you will work closely with validation engineers to prepare, fly and evaluate drone prototypes in real‑world test campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and run test campaigns, building the tooling, fixtures and test setups needed.
• Pilot drones during tests and act as safety operator, from routine flights to demanding campaigns.
• Set up test sites from scratch, load and prepare vehicles, deploy and connect systems under test.
• Execute test protocols, checklists and report results, anomalies and frequencies clearly.
• Assemble, repair, solder, wire, and upgrade equipment to keep campaigns moving.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in electronics, mechanics or RC modelling.
• Confirmed drone pilot licence.
• Strong manual and technical abilities such as soldering, wiring and mechanical assembly.
• Organized, rigorous and safety‑conscious with a DIY mindset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and loading equipment.
• Basic Linux familiarity is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for local field campaigns.
• Working level English (A2 minimum); French or Arabic a plus.
