Duty Station Manager – Aviation Ground Services

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Duty Station Manager to lead ground handling operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused service for airline partners. You will be responsible for managing staff, resources, and compliance with corporate, regulatory and airline standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver consistent service quality and meet airline performance targets.
• Motivate, engage and evaluate staff through regular feedback and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Swissport’s safety, security and quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Plan rosters, monitor overtime and control budgets to meet operational needs.
• Track and report on key performance indicators, conduct investigations of incidents or complaints, and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate operational policies, procedures and updates through meetings, handovers and written reports.
• Oversee training completion, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and keep senior management informed of flight irregularities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) in Management or equivalent.
• 5‑8 years of aviation ground handling experience.
• Previous experience as a PAX/RAMP Senior Supervisor, Supervisor or Duty Manager.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards.
• Familiarity with Safety Management Systems in an aviation context.
