Electrical Engineer – UAV Systems

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. You will work on high‑performance flight controllers, companion computers, and electronic speed controllers that power mission‑critical defense platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture and design physical/electrical integration of complex processor‑based systems with fast memory (DDR, Flash) and peripherals.
• Create detailed schematics and perform board placement/routing while managing high‑speed signal constraints.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and GNC teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration and accurate sensor interfacing.
• Address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) challenges and maintain signal integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on electrical and electronic boards.
• Conduct testing, integration, and performance validation to meet operational requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in complex electronic system design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and solve advanced technical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (e.g., Altium).
• Embedded system design, schematic creation, and board routing.
• Knowledge of processors, DDR, Flash memory domains.
• Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity.
• Use of electronic test equipment for validation.
