Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain software for automotive electronic control units (ECUs). You will work on unit testing, integration and validation of embedded software in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software unit tests for automotive ECUs.
• Integrate software components into ECU platforms, ensuring hardware and vehicle network compatibility.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of software defects, communication issues and ECU malfunctions using diagnostic tools.
• Flash software onto ECUs and develop UDS diagnostic services, DTC handling and fault memory strategies.
• Analyze communication traces (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and support integration tests on benches, HIL systems and in‑vehicle testing.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE and cybersecurity standards.
• Create and maintain documentation such as SRS, SDD, design reviews and traceability matrices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Embedded Systems, Electronics or a related field.
• Professional level of English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage technical coordination, planning and risk.

Required skills

• Embedded C/C++ programming and real‑time systems.
• In‑vehicle communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Diagnostic standards and tools: UDS (ISO 14229), ISO 15765, OBD‑II, Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape.
• Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive) stacks.
• Familiarity with ASPICE, V‑Model development processes and functional safety (ISO 26262).
• Use of flashing tools, HIL platforms and analysis of logs, traces and memory dumps.
