About the role
We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead the Employee Relations agenda across our Multilingual Africa Cluster, covering Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Madagascar. The role acts as the subject‑matter expert, providing guidance on labor compliance, investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters and social dialogue.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Employee Relations agenda across the cluster.
- Ensure compliance with local labor legislation, company policies and Group standards.
- Provide expert guidance to HR and Operations on complex employee relations matters.
- Identify potential ER risks and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
- Ensure consistency in disciplinary practices and decision‑making.
- Lead and coordinate complex employee investigations and manage EthicsPoint cases.
- Oversee employee grievances, complaints and sensitive workplace matters.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary procedures and sanctions in line with local legislation.
- Coordinate labor litigation and employment‑related disputes with Legal and external counsel.
- Monitor ongoing litigation, assess risks and drive required actions.
- Support relationships with employee representatives, labor authorities and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate employee representative elections and social dialogue activities.
- Anticipate social risks and develop mitigation plans.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, Employment Law or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in Employee Relations, HR, Labor Relations, or Employment Law.
- Strong knowledge of Moroccan labor legislation; experience with other African labor environments is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience managing complex investigations, disciplinary cases, grievances and labor disputes.
- Experience working with employee representatives and labor authorities.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters with discretion.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural and multi‑country environment.
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages relevant to the cluster are an advantage.
