Employee Relations Manager - Multilingual Africa Cluster

About the role

We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead the Employee Relations agenda across the Multilingual Africa Cluster (Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Madagascar). The role acts as the subject‑matter expert on employee relations, labor compliance, investigations, grievances, ethics cases, litigation and social dialogue. You will partner with HR, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Global Labor Relations to manage cases, mitigate risk and ensure consistent application of policies and local labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Employee Relations agenda across the cluster, ensuring compliance with local labour legislation, company policies and Group standards.
• Provide expert guidance to HR and Operations on complex employee‑relations matters and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and conduct complex investigations, manage EthicsPoint cases and oversee grievance handling.
• Guide disciplinary procedures, sanctions and coordinate labour litigation with Legal and external counsel.
• Monitor litigation trends, analyse root causes and develop actions to reduce recurring issues.
• Support relationships with employee representatives, labour authorities and manage social dialogue activities.
• Assist HR leadership with collective employee‑relations matters and anticipate social risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Employment Law or a related field.
• Significant experience in Employee Relations, HR, Labour Relations or Employment Law.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan labour legislation; experience in other African labour environments is a plus.
• Proven track record managing investigations, disciplinary cases, grievances and labour disputes.
• Excellent analytical, risk‑assessment and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in French and English; additional African languages are an advantage.
