Executive Housekeeper I

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper I is responsible for daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club and, when applicable, laundry at the Le Méridien hotel in Marrakech. This role ensures guest rooms, public spaces and employee areas are clean, well‑maintained and meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, enforce policies, standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering to communicate room status and maintenance needs.
• Manage cleaning schedules, assign work based on room turnover lists, and conduct inspections.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, order guestroom and cleaning supplies, and ensure staff have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Control departmental expenses, monitor budgets, operating statements and payroll reports.
• Handle guest complaints, promote exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
• Participate in HR activities: staffing, training, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and hiring.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field (no experience required).
• Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets and ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
