Expert 3D Harness Development Engineer

About the role

The Expert 3D Harness Development Engineer will lead the design, validation and industrialisation of electrical wiring harnesses in a PLM‑driven environment for Stellantis. The role ensures technical robustness, cost and schedule alignment, supplier coordination and high‑quality 3D/2D deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project needs to define appropriate harness solutions based on functional, technical and environmental requirements.
• Lead cost and schedule negotiations, secure commitments and ensure convergence with stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly dashboards, facilitate project reviews, track KPIs and escalate risks with mitigation plans.
• Validate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and PLM data for compliance and completeness.
• Conduct design robustness reviews, technical assessments and risk analyses to guarantee component reliability.
• Develop 3D routing in CATIA V6, optimise harness routings and manage mechanical/electrical constraints.
• Ensure consistency between 3D models, 2D schematics and electrical definitions.
• Produce 2D harness drawings for supplier RFQs, including Modular Capital XC documentation.
• Manage harness references within the PLM system, creating and updating records.
• Coordinate technical exchanges with suppliers, validate proposals and monitor quality and delivery performance.

Required profile

• Technical leadership with the ability to guide cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in CATIA V6 for electrical harness design.
• Strong knowledge of harness components, connectors, protections and relevant electrical standards.
• Extensive experience with PLM environments and management of 3D/2D data.
• Ability to analyse mechanical, thermal and vibratory constraints affecting routing.
• Advanced competence in creating 2D schematics, drawings and BOMs.
• Experience in supplier management and engineering change processes (ECR).
