Field Service Lead

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking a senior‑level Field Service Lead to oversee the operation and maintenance of its deployed autonomous defense systems across multiple customer sites. The role combines deep technical expertise with hands‑on leadership, ensuring high‑availability of complex electromechanical and electronic equipment in austere environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, schedule and mentor a team of Field Service Specialists across various locations, allocating resources to guarantee consistent, high‑quality maintenance.
• Own the preventive and corrective maintenance programme for the deployed estate, defining standards, procedures and checklists.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex fault diagnosis, overseeing depot‑level and sub‑assembly repairs.
• Manage the spare‑parts and sustainment model, tracking consumption, re‑order signals and obsolescence while feeding reliability data back to engineering.
• Report system availability and readiness, identifying issues before they impact operational capability.
• Enable customer maintenance teams through knowledge transfer and training, driving toward their operational autonomy.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on maintenance experience on complex electromechanical/electronic systems.
• Proven leadership of field service or maintenance teams in high‑tech or defence environments.
• Strong diagnostic ability to lead complex fault resolution and component‑level repairs.
• Experience with maintenance management programmes, spares sustainment and readiness tracking.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and operate safely in austere conditions.
• Eligibility for security clearance and fluency in English (French or Arabic a plus).
