Finance Manager for Middle East & Africa

About the role

As Finance Manager MEA you will lead finance for Harmattan AI’s Middle East and Africa region, based in Morocco. You will be the sole finance owner initially and will build a team of country finance correspondents as the footprint expands.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial management of regional entities, including accounting, controlling, and monthly/annual closings on the Group calendar.
• Manage vendor invoicing, payroll entries, payments, local banking relationships, cash positions, and trade finance instruments for government contracts.
• Coordinate local tax, statutory compliance and audits with advisors across the region.
• Support intercompany framework, including invoicing, management fees and transfer pricing documentation.
• Act as finance business partner to sales, business development and marketing teams, building long‑term business plans for industrial investment projects.

Required profile

• Around 10 years of senior finance experience, including ownership of multiple legal entities in an international group.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; Master’s or local accounting qualification preferred.
• Experience as finance partner to commercial teams, preferably with government or institutional clients.
• Deep knowledge of the Moroccan banking and administrative environment, with exposure to Gulf and other MEA markets.
• Fluency in French and English; Arabic a plus.

Required skills

• Solid accounting, controlling and corporate finance foundations, including month‑end closings.
• Hands‑on experience with trade finance: letters of credit, bank guarantees and financing structuring.
• Experience managing local banking relationships and cash positions.
