Financial Accountant

About the role

Givaudan, a global leader in Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrances & Beauty, is expanding its finance team in Nouasseur and hiring a Financial Accountant. The role reports to the Senior Financial Accountant and supports the preparation and maintenance of financial data in line with legal and statutory requirements and Givaudan's accounting and reporting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support month-end accounting and group reporting
• Support preparation and annual filing of statutory accounts
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform monthly analysis
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Post and process journal entries and support the payments process
• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks
• Prepare and file VAT and withholding tax declarations, archive accounting records and support tax audits
• Contribute to process improvement with the relevant teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Controlling (at least BAC+3)
• 2-3 years of related experience in a multinational company or accounting firm
• Fluency in English and French
• Proven experience as an accountant
• Attention to detail, analytical mind and good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Good knowledge of tax and corporate law
