Flight Operations Engineer

About the role

As a Flight Operations Engineer at Harmattan AI, you will bridge the gap between research and field deployment, delivering autonomous defense systems to global partners. You will lead real‑world test campaigns, conduct live flight demonstrations, and train end‑users on complex autonomous platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute test campaigns to validate performance, reliability, and edge‑case behavior of new hardware and software.
• Lead live flight demonstrations for defense stakeholders in diverse environments.
• Develop and deliver training programs covering flight theory, autonomous mission planning, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to debug and iterate based on test outcomes.
• Manage deployment logistics, integrating command‑and‑control (C2) infrastructure and RF data links to ensure mission readiness.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in flight operations, flight testing, or validation on aerospace or robotic systems.
• Proven track record assembling, integrating, and maintaining high‑performance FPV, multicopter, or fixed‑wing systems.
• Strong understanding of flight dynamics, control systems, avionics, and RF systems.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a dynamic schedule.
