About the role
Versigent is seeking a Freight Specialist to oversee the end‑to‑end transport of goods, ensuring smooth reception and dispatch of shipments. You will act as the primary liaison between the company, forwarders, and carriers, optimizing logistics operations across key routes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with forwarders and carriers, making recommendations on carrier selection.
- Develop and maintain the weekly pick‑up schedule for carriers.
- Monitor trailer status in Algeciras and Tangier and track merchandise through predefined checkpoints to the factory.
- Optimize transport costs by analyzing occupation rates, mileage, and weekly cost statistics.
- Ensure daily monitoring of import and export trailer usage to prevent disruptions.
- Supervise reception and shipping activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Logistics or an equivalent qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes.
Required skills
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
