Full-Stack Engineer (Independent Contractor)

About the role

Yumpit is looking for a full‑time, remote Independent Contractor to join its engineering team as a Full‑Stack Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end features across both the front‑end and back‑end of our hospitality management platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement responsive user interfaces and ensure accessibility.
• Design, build, and optimise APIs that integrate multiple data sources.
• Maintain relational databases, write schema migrations and manage external service integrations.
• Write automated tests, conduct code reviews and improve development workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions as the platform scales.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack development experience with production web applications.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
• Excellent communication and self‑management skills.
• Recent graduates are welcome; demonstrated projects matter more than years of experience.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Next.js, React).
• CSS for responsive design.
• API design and implementation.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (Prisma, Supabase).
• Git version control and automated testing.
• Experience with React Native / Expo, Stripe integration, cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
