Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

WaystoCap is building a B2B marketplace that enables African businesses to trade internationally. As a Full Stack Software Engineer you will lead a cross‑functional agile team to design and deliver highly scalable, reliable services that power the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an agile team to plan, design, and build innovative solutions for international trade.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and micro‑service architecture.
• Design flexible APIs (REST, GraphQL) and ensure high availability.
• Deliver modern, resilient services and optimize web‑app performance.
• Share knowledge, evangelize best practices, and mentor teammates.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Golang, Node.js, Java, or Scala.
• Strong command of ES6 JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks (React.js, Gatsby, Next.js).
• Experience with Bootstrap, styled‑components, and web‑app performance optimization.
• Solid background in software design, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases and NoSQL storage technologies.
• Proven ability to lead and work within an agile team.
