Gear Design Engineer

About the role

As a Gear Design Engineer you will join a specialised team that designs, optimises and industrialises complex gear systems. You will work through the full development cycle from requirements definition to technical validation and support for industrialisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define requirements, model gear assemblies and perform functional and dimensional analyses.
• Validate designs technically and support the transition to industrial production.
• Lead design‑for‑manufacturability discussions with international suppliers.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Design) with a Master’s level qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in gear or precision mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or R&D environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical topics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with specialised gear design tools such as KissSoft, MASTA or LDP.
• Advanced CAD skills (CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of gear manufacturing processes, durability, cost and performance analysis, and NVH integration.
