General Manager – Luxury Resort Opening 2027

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton is preparing to launch its flagship resort in Marrakech in 2027. As General Manager you will be responsible for building the property from the ground up, shaping its culture, and delivering the brand’s world‑class service standards while reflecting authentic Moroccan hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full pre‑opening process, including critical‑path planning, recruitment, operational readiness and launch.
• Assemble, develop and inspire a world‑class Executive Committee and hotel team.
• Establish a culture rooted in The Ritz‑Carlton Gold Standards and local traditions.
• Develop commercial strategies to attract high‑value leisure, residential and destination guests from key international markets.
• Oversee the creation of distinctive dining, wellness, cultural and resort experiences that convey a genuine sense of place.
• Ensure operational excellence across the hotel, villas, residences and shared resort areas.
• Build transparent, commercially focused relationships with ownership and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader in luxury hospitality with a track record of opening or turning around high‑end properties.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive profitable performance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage owners, partners and local communities.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain top talent.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of luxury hotel operations and service standards.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and performance reporting.
