Golf Maintenance Assistant

About the role

MEDINE GROUP is looking for a Golf Maintenance Assistant to join its Tamarina Golf Club. The assistant supports the upkeep of the hotel's golf course so that it stays in excellent playing condition, working closely with the golf course maintenance team to keep the course well presented, safe and maintained to established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the daily maintenance of the course, including greens, fairways, tees and rough areas.
• Perform routine turf care such as mowing, trimming, watering and fertilizing.
• Maintain and rake bunkers to ensure proper playing conditions.
• Help with landscaping, including planting, pruning and maintaining shrubs and trees.
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools safely, and help with irrigation system checks and basic repairs.
• Remove debris, leaves and litter from the course.
• Assist with course set-up, moving tee markers, flags and signage.
• Monitor the course for damage, hazards or maintenance issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental practices, and work with the maintenance team to keep high standards.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school (SC) qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping or a similar role is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending and working outdoors for long periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems and landscaping practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with the safe operation of maintenance equipment and tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality course conditions.
