Head Chef – Italian Restaurant in Bouznika

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team at Isola Ristorante, an Italian restaurant in Bouznika, Morocco. You will shape the restaurant’s gastronomic identity, ensuring high‑quality, creative dishes that respect Italian and Mediterranean traditions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, creativity, and consistency.
• Control kitchen costs, budgeting, and profitability.
• Manage kitchen maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs.
• Monitor ordering, receiving, and inventory of food products and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and food safety regulations.
• Supervise and participate in food preparation and production.
• Inspect dishes for adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
• Maintain clean, well‑functioning equipment and kitchen environment.
• Address special customer requests and dietary needs.
• Coach, train, and develop kitchen staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in premium or fine‑dining settings.
• Deep knowledge and passion for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with ability to innovate.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• High standards for food presentation, hygiene, and quality control.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
