Head of Community & Growth (Film Platform)

About the role

Filmaty is the leading digital hub for independent filmmakers across the MENA region. We are looking for a Head of Community & Growth to transform our passive user base into an active, vibrant ecosystem that fuels talent discovery and marketplace liquidity.

Key responsibilities

• Own platform engagement metrics (WAU/MAU) and design gamification loops, verification systems, and status incentives to boost user activation and retention.
• Conceptualize and execute social‑first campaigns (TikTok, Instagram Reels challenges, monologue contests) that attract aspiring talent and creators.
• Manage content scouts to ensure a daily flow of casting calls, crew gigs, and gear listings, solving the “cold start” problem.
• Facilitate high‑value connections between directors, producers, and talent through concierge matching and moderation until organic discovery scales.
• Organize virtual workshops and regional meet‑ups around key film festivals to deepen community trust and drive offline‑to‑online conversion.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in community management, product marketing, or growth for a B2C mobile app, creator platform, or two‑sided marketplace.
• Data‑informed growth mindset with a genuine passion for cinema, storytelling, and the regional creative scene.
• Background in media, film, entertainment, or digital content platforms is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Proven track record in user retention strategies and funnel optimization.
• Experience creating short‑form viral video campaigns on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CRM systems and push‑notification tools.
