Head of Project Cargo & Industrial Projects

About the role

Aramex Morocco is seeking a strategic, results‑driven leader to head its Project Cargo & Industrial Projects division. You will be responsible for building and expanding the company’s capabilities in handling complex, heavy‑lift, out‑of‑gauge and breakbulk shipments across Morocco and North Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a country‑level growth strategy for project cargo and industrial logistics.
• Lead end‑to‑end management of complex industrial tenders, including pricing, technical proposals and commercial frameworks.
• Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with EPC firms and key industrial accounts.
• Oversee multimodal transport operations, heavy‑lift movements, vessel/aircraft charters and oversized road transport.
• Coordinate site inspections, route surveys and feasibility studies for inland heavy‑lift transport.
• Negotiate service agreements and manage third‑party vendors such as heavy‑transport operators, port authorities and charter brokers.
• Own P&L for the vertical, delivering revenue forecasts, variance analyses and performance reports.
• Identify and mitigate operational, commercial and financial risks while ensuring compliance with customs, trade laws and HSSE standards.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years progressive experience in freight forwarding with a focus on project cargo, breakbulk and industrial logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record of securing major project contracts and managing multimodal operations in North Africa or similar emerging markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both French and English.
