Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join a construction team supporting outdoor projects across Canada. The successful candidate will operate excavators and skid steers safely while contributing to site preparation, grading, and infrastructure development.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steers for grading, trenching, leveling and general site preparation.
• Handle and transport construction materials such as soil and gravel.
• Support outdoor construction and infrastructure development activities.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Identify and report any equipment or mechanical concerns promptly.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and operational standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely task completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related industries.
• Strong understanding of job‑site safety and equipment operation protocols.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in outdoor conditions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Heavy‑equipment certification or formal training (considered an asset).
