High-Voltage Substation Engineer (E-Base)

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for a skilled engineer to develop and maintain high‑voltage electrical drawings and documentation for 110 kV / 15 kV substations using Engineering Base (E‑Base). You will work within a high‑performance ecosystem, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable power‑system solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HV/MV substation drawings and engineering documentation using E‑Base.
• Create and update single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans and interconnection schematics.
• Define and manage interfaces between switchgear, protection, control‑command systems and auxiliary AC/DC power supplies.
• Produce cable schedules, signal lists, equipment lists and other technical deliverables.
• Analyze customer requirements and ensure compliance with electrical standards and project specifications.
• Perform technical reviews, validate documentation quality and consistency.
• Assess design changes and evaluate impacts on substation architecture.
• Support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes and design documentation in English.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 5‑7 years of experience in HV/MV substation design.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage and medium‑voltage substations and distribution systems.
• Experience with high‑voltage electrical drawings, protection, control‑command and auxiliary power supply systems.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into clear engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with electrical standards and best‑practice documentation.
