Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations of the housekeeping department, as well as the recreation/health club and laundry services when applicable. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the property’s quality standards while staying within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry shift activities.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate room status communication with the Front Desk and prepare work assignments.
• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure adequate stock.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, aiming to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff, track attendance, and enforce property policies.
• Provide performance feedback, recognize employee achievements, and support a positive work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
