Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations of housekeeping, the recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hotel in Rabat. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet quality standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, communicating room status to the Front Desk promptly.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, verify adequate stock, and ensure staff have necessary equipment and uniforms.
• Develop and maintain an effective inspection program for all areas.
• Monitor departmental budget, track expenses, and strive to meet or exceed financial goals.
• Train new room attendants, provide ongoing coaching, and schedule staff according to business demand.
• Handle employee time‑and‑attendance tracking, disciplinary actions, and recognition programs in line with SOPs.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly to the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting, and guest service standards.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
