HR Generalist - Maghreb and West Africa Region

About the role

Givaudan, a global leader in taste, fragrance and beauty, is expanding its regional Field HR team and hiring an HR Generalist for the Maghreb and West Africa region, based in the Nouaceur office in Morocco. The role supports the Fragrance & Beauty, Taste & Wellbeing and Support teams across Morocco, Ivory Coast and Algeria, reporting to the HR Director for the region. About 25-30% of the work is HR administration, and the position is permanent, long-term and full-time (Monday to Friday).

Key responsibilities

• HR management: help implement HR strategies and programmes, support HR processes such as compensation and benefits, mobility, onboarding, training, performance management and employee engagement, and independently manage employee life-cycle changes
• HR processes: roll out HR services, processes and systems with the Regional HR Centre of Excellence, promote employee feedback, clarify roles and streamline internal HR processes
• Payroll: manage payroll and employee benefits, prepare payroll accurately, stay up to date with employment law, maintain leave and attendance records, enter new hires and data changes in the HRIS and payroll systems, and guide employees on payroll and benefits queries
• Employee relations: guide managers and employees on performance management, career development, disciplinary actions and organisational decisions, and ensure key HR processes are implemented effectively
• Legal and compliance: ensure compliance with employment laws, interpret HR policies and employment law, and work with EHS on occupational health compliance
• Talent acquisition: manage recruitment end-to-end, from sourcing to shortlisting, selection and offer management
• Learning and development: organise training events, book venues and trainers, manage attendance and prepare training reports

Required profile

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in core HR and employee life-cycle activities
• Experience as an HR Specialist
• Able to build solid relationships with line managers and employees
