Humanitarian Affairs Officer – Remote Volunteer

About the role

The Humanitarian Affairs Officer is a remote volunteer position with White Heart Union, focused on supporting peace, justice, and welfare initiatives for vulnerable communities worldwide. The role requires a strong commitment to humanitarian principles and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with communities to assess humanitarian needs and priorities.
• Coordinate and document field activities, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Prepare summaries and reports on field information for internal use.
• Assist in designing training, awareness‑raising, and capacity‑building materials.
• Monitor project progress, identify emerging challenges, and propose solutions aligned with ethical standards.

Required profile

• Proven community‑service or engagement experience with diverse groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest or experience in training and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Understanding of public safety and protection programs.
• Commitment to humanitarian, social‑justice, and ethical values.
• Ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Relevant academic background or practical experience in humanitarian affairs, social sciences, community development, conflict resolution, or related fields.
