ICA Sergeant

About the role

The ICA Sergeant plays a critical and indispensable role in connecting Singapore to the world. This position upholds immigration and national registration laws throughout a citizen’s life journey and facilitates the stay of foreigners with business and familial ties in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce immigration laws and regulations at checkpoints and within Singapore.
• Process and verify documentation for citizens, permanent residents, and foreign visitors.
• Assist in the issuance and renewal of passports, identity cards, and work permits.
• Collaborate with other government agencies to ensure national security and compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to the public on immigration procedures.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to public service and national security.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
