IFRS 16 Lease Accountant – Casablanca

About the role

Swissport is looking for an IFRS 16 / Lease Accountant to join its Business Services team in Casablanca. You will be responsible for maintaining fixed‑asset registers, managing lease agreements and ensuring compliance with international lease accounting standards while supporting finance, fleet and operations teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Register new lease agreements promptly in the lease engine and fixed‑asset registers.
• Maintain master data for fixed assets across multiple asset classes and systems.
• Account for lease terminations, modifications and sub‑leases, and align with local management on renewal or purchase options.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls and external IFRS, VAT requirements.
• Develop and keep up‑to‑date process documentation and desktop procedures.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and address internal queries and escalations.
• Support KPI implementation, performance reviews and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑5+ years of experience in lease and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 16, VAT and external compliance for leases and assets.
• Experience working in a shared‑service or business‑services environment is a plus.
