Import Officer – Charge d'import

About the role

We are looking for an Import Officer (Charge d'import) to manage the end‑to‑end import process in a fast‑moving global environment. The role bridges finance, compliance, logistics and data management to ensure every shipment complies with regulations and meets company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Track import files from order confirmation through delivery, updating ERP records and ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Validate invoices, import commitments, certificates and customs declarations while adhering to Incoterms and O.N.I.C.L. regulations.
• Coordinate with finance on supplier payments, bank guarantees and proper cost allocation.
• Serve as the central communication hub for trading, sales, logistics, finance, freight forwarders, customs brokers and insurance agents.
• Monitor KPIs, lead times and process efficiency through dashboards and data‑driven reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of international trade frameworks, customs procedures and import/export regulations.
• Deep understanding of Incoterms, banking procedures and documentary credit processes (LCs, guarantees).
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, and experience with data management for import tracking.
• Analytical mindset to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English and French for coordination with global suppliers and local authorities.
