In-Field Quality Controller

About the role

United Exports is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented In‑Field Quality Controller to join its Technical and Supply Chain team in the Larache / Moulay Bousselham region of northern Morocco. The role focuses on ensuring that fruit harvested, packed, and dispatched by production partners meets UE and customer quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fruit quality inspections during harvesting and packing, verifying compliance with UE packing instructions and customer specifications.
• Monitor grading standards, reject management, and pack‑out execution; report any quality deviations or packaging defects.
• Maintain daily communication with growers and packhouse teams to confirm harvest schedules, packing plans, and shipment volumes.
• Escalate quality concerns and operational risks promptly and support growers in applying UE quality standards.
• Monitor product flow from packhouse to dispatch, checking loading conditions, pallet integrity, and shipment documentation.
• Assist growers during audits and certification processes, supporting compliance with quality and food‑safety requirements.
• Provide structured daily reports with photographic evidence, communicating potential quality, logistics, or customer risks in real time.
• Support technical, operational, and commercial projects, including investigations of customer complaints and quality claims.
• During the Southern Hemisphere season (Oct‑Jan), support quality monitoring of imported fruit, travel to Europe/UK for destination inspections, and deliver market feedback.

Required profile

• Motivated and detail‑oriented individual with a passion for agriculture, fresh produce, and quality management.
• Ability to work in the field, collaborate with growers and packhouses, and travel periodically for inspections.
• Strong communication skills to provide real‑time updates and structured reports.
