Infrastructure Technical Expert

About the role

The Infrastructure Technical Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the core hosting and virtualization platforms that support our business operations. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security across both physical and virtual environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise hosting solutions such as Nutanix, VMware, Hyper‑V, and physical servers.
• Administer backup and recovery technologies including Networker, DataDomain and CommVault.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans (DRP/BCP).
• Provide day‑to‑day administration of Windows and Linux systems.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of technical architectures.
• Ensure infrastructure stability through lifecycle management, capacity planning, patching and performance monitoring.
• Implement and enforce security practices, conduct audits and hardening activities.
• Manage virtualization environments, both hyper‑converged and traditional platforms.
• Collaborate with IT teams using service‑management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in virtualization and hosting technologies.
• Strong background in backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Solid experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Good understanding of infrastructure, networking and basic cloud concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to implement security controls, audits and hardening.
