About the role

The company is looking for an Automotive Safety Engineer specialized in power‑train functions. You will work on functional safety development using model‑based design tools and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Model and design the functional and organic architecture of safety functions using Model‑Based Design (Matlab/Simulink or equivalent).
• Specify functional and software requirements for system re‑configuration and manage safety objectives (ASIL) from HARA to functional and technical safety concepts.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative safety analyses such as FMEA/AMDEC, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Design Failure Analysis (DFA).
• Write and validate the Safety Design (SDO) to secure ECU deployment.
• Define and design embedded diagnostic (OBD) strategies for thermal power‑train functions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with software, calibration and system validation teams, participate in design reviews and support the creation of the safety case dossier.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electronics, Automotive, Embedded Systems or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role involving specification, development or automotive safety.

Required skills

• Matlab/Simulink (or equivalent Model‑Based Design tools).
• ISO 26262 functional safety standard.
• Safety analysis methods: FMEA/AMDEC, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Design Failure Analysis (DFA).
• On‑Board Diagnostics (OBD) strategy design.
• Functional safety concepts (ASIL, HARA, FSC, TSC).
• ECU development and safety design documentation.
