Installation Engineer

About the role

KONE is seeking a proactive Installation Engineer to lead on‑site installation activities for elevators and escalators. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while delivering projects on time and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for safety, quality, and productivity during installation and handovers.
• Plan, organize, and manage installation logistics, materials, and site resources.
• Monitor progress, costs, schedules, and risks, aligning with project milestones.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality checks, resolving non‑conformities.
• Lead final testing, defect closure, and handover to maintenance.
• Manage documentation, reporting, time approvals, and environmental compliance.
• Act as primary on‑site contact for customers, ensuring clear communication.
• Lead and support installation teams, including subcontractors, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Support project teams in cost control, variation sales, and change order management.

Required profile

• Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the elevator & escalator industry.
• Project Management experience, preferably with PMP certification.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and comply with PMO requirements.
