Inventory Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Specialist at Copart is responsible for managing the flow and documentation of vehicles arriving at the facility. Using company‑provided tools, you will record vehicle conditions, capture photographs, and ensure each vehicle is processed according to Copart standards and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and organize the receiving area to support efficient vehicle intake.
• Operate cameras and handheld inventory devices to document each vehicle’s condition and capture supporting images.
• Perform complete vehicle inspections (TLEs) and determine operational capability of motor vehicles.
• Direct traffic flow in the receiving zone to meet processing deadlines.
• Maintain inventory of materials used and ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
• Provide customer‑focused solutions in line with Copart policies.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work outdoors in all seasons.
• General automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate handheld devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; bilingual ability is a plus.
