IT Manager - Property Information Resources

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring an IT Manager (Information Resources) for its property in Fes, Morocco. The role reports to the property and covers all technology planning, decision-making, implementation and maintenance. It may manage property systems technicians and interface with vendors, owners, the Executive Committee and property staff.

Key responsibilities

• Meet client technology needs: use computers and systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data and process information.
• Monitor, verify and manage the acquisition and maintenance of property-based systems, and inspect and repair equipment.
• Verify that computer and network operations are monitored, backups and recovery run on schedule, and that hardware, operating and application systems are kept up to date.
• Manage IR activities so property infrastructure and applications stay functional, and administer and maintain mail and email.
• Maintain inventories of IT hardware and software, provide internet and cable management support, and generate communications to users about new applications, tips and alerts.
• Enforce IR policies and standards, direct equipment and software inventory maintenance in line with licensing regulations, and monitor projects against brand standards, budget and schedule.
• Lead the IR team, act as escalation point for vendor issues, and coordinate property IT needs with IR Shared Services and other systems staff.
• Ensure fair treatment of employees and fair administration of property policies.

Required profile

• BS/BA or equivalent education.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Previous experience in IR Global Field Services or Marriott Systems Support is desirable.
• System-related professional certifications are desired.
