Junior Accounts Officer

About the role

BIA Group, which sells, rents and provides after-sales services for equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport, is hiring a Junior Accounts Officer. The role reports to the Team Leader and AP Analyst and focuses on accurate and timely accounts payable invoice postings, including OTIF invoices and parked invoices.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure OTIF administrative tasks are completed so that OTIF invoices can be posted.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of entity invoice postings, including parked invoices, within the agreed SLA.
• Perform the 3-way match and post invoices with the correct supplier accounts, cost centres and tax accounts.
• Post fixed asset invoices using the correct SAP transaction codes and post expenses to the deferred account as required.
• Post parked invoices ready for posting and repark those with anomalies, adding comments and changing status where needed.
• Take part in the monthly closing and respect the closing calendar.
• Post expense notes and regularly update the local entity and the next level on the status of follow-ups and work in progress.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 1 or HSC with Accounts as principal.
• Fresh starter in accounting; knowledge of accounting principles is an advantage.
• Bilingual English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Accounting principles and SAP transaction codes.
