Junior Hardware Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

Join ALTEN's automotive project as a Junior Hardware Engineer, focusing on PCB design and layout. You will work on electronic hardware development for automotive applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power, and ground traces while managing multilayer stack‑ups.
• Ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI compliance, thermal performance, and overall reliability.
• Apply design rules and manufacturing constraints such as DFM, DFA, and DFT.
• Prepare manufacturing files including Gerbers, ODB++, pick‑and‑place data, and BOM.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or related engineering field.
• At least one successful experience in electronics hardware or PCB physical layout.
• Strong understanding of electronics schematics and PCB manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of signal and power integrity concepts.
• Attention to detail, ability to read datasheets, and good problem‑solving skills.
